Thank's to everyone who participated in the recent workshop which saw fifteen tyres saved from landfill and pounded with dirt transforming waste into re purposed building materials!
discussing passive solar design and Earthship principles
In the coming Months we will be continuing construction of the tyre bench seat with new projects added each consecutive Month.

If you are interested in natural and Sustainable building then these Workshops are a great introduction and certainly a lot of fun!
I'ts something we use every day but it is rarely talked about and often overlooked... can you guess what it is? The Toilet. Here at Inspector Gadjet we will talk about toilets all day if given the chance because we love toilets! Here is a step by step introduction to the water-less compost toilet system we build and install for festivals, camping area's, building sites and bush blocks. Wheelie bin systems are a great "no handling" system: when the bin is full you simply unplug it, close the lid and wheel it away, Out of sight , out of mind. if you have two bins they can be alternating: while one is composting it's contents the other is being slowly filled. drilling a hole as close to the bottom of the bin and installing a threaded back nut allows you to attach a tap and hose for the liquids to drain. Here at Inspector Gadjet we specialize in one of a kind, (bespoke) projects. We can make your idea's into reality with our team of Welders, Joiners, Artists and Carpenters nothing is too hard, if you can imagine it we can build it. With our focus on Sustainability we try to re-purpose materials wherever we can and our stores of out of the ordinary items is growing daily. If you are after something special that doesn't exist we can help you create it whether it be in steel, wood, paper mache, concrete, cob or just about any other medium you can think of.
At Inspector Gadjet second hand materials are always welcome, we would rather use your materials for your project than buy manufactured unsustainable hardware. If you have a store of building materials and a project, we can make it happen. Most of what we do is at least 80 % made from re-purposed hardware and materials. Our list of re-purposed products is growing all the time as we re-invent uses for societies refuse. * pallets * car/truck tyres * cans and bottles * used timber framing * corrugated iron * fridges/freezers * glass Whatever your project we can help save you money and make your dreams a reality.
